what a world we live in...

Today I read about a man who gunned down 6 people in the woods, I read about a mother who cut off her 6 day old baby's arms, and I read about hate.

I had no idea that many people in this country still had such malice towards blacks. I also didn't realize there was still hate crimes against Jews.

Sometimes I want to throw up from how sick our world is. Sometimes I want to ball up and cry over how cruel humans can be towards one another.

There are bad people in this world, and good people. The color of their skin and the religious beliefs that they hold have nothing to do with how good or bad they are. Stereo types are often based on something that happens and happens a lot. So yes I acknowledge that that's why stereotypes exist. But to put everyone into one big bucket and label them the same, assume they are the same, and treat them the same is WRONG.

Yesterday my mother got punched in the face by a 12 year old boy. My mom works in one of those juvenille detention jails. She has a gaurd with her at all times and she teaches a class so the kids can get an education. That kid had no good reason at all to hit my mother, but he did it. Because he had hate in his heart.

We have to stop breeding hate. I hope I have 10 children and I hope they make the world a better place.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I think it's honorable for her to even be there teaching in the first place, when others would just say 'what's the point?'.

I feel the same way you do about it all, you're not alone. Hate is the unsung epidemic.

its utterly flabbergasting. i cant believe how people treat one another. think of it this way though. for every bad deed gone noticed, there are a number of good ones going on at the same time that never get any recognition at all. think of all the good you've ever done. its just not "newsworthy". im really sorry about your mom, and i really hope for the sanity of all of us, things get better.
