Wednesday feels like monday

Well despite a not so happy morning at work, things turned out okay and I feel a bit better. My co-worker is going to BAKE me a CAKE on friday. I'm so excited!! She's also working on a beutiful shawl that I'll have to show you guys one day. She has caught the shawl knitting bug.

I think I'm going to buy a knit starter kit for my best friend whom lives about 8 hours from me. I'll get to see her this holiday and she said she would love to learn to knit. So I'm going to make her a big basket full of needles, patterns and lots of cheap yarn and then a few nicer yarns thrown in. She's extremly fickle with money and would kill me if I tried to give her yarn that cost $10 a skein. But of course being the yarn snob that I am, I'll throw in a few nice things. Of course the needles will be nice. Maybe a ChicKnits hat pattern and one set of addi circulars, and then I think some clover bamboo needles. I want to spread the knitting LOVE!!

I could buy her the stich'n'bitch book because it really is great to learn from. Eeek before I know it I'll have spent $100 lol. I better be careful!

So far my husband is taken care of for holidays gifts. I got him one large awsume gift (I don't want to say, on the off chanse he might read this) and then a second cute kids toy gift that just seemed lik something he would like.

My sister wants Victoria's Secreye Pajamas (easy to please) so I'll get those. I got her son (not even 2yo yet!!) some of those awsume red cardboard bricks that you can guild forts out of. I am waiting for those to arrive the mail!

For my mother I'm getting her the Smallville Season 3 DVD, and my sister has our dad covered.

That takes care of my family and just leaves my husbands family. Because they are NOT jewish that leaves a LOT more people to buy gifts for then I normally do. I don't mind I am just at a loss for what to get them.. Idea for inlaws??

I got a sister in law who is married but no one talks about her husband. I got a brother in law, just married and in a new house (we both laughed that we where going to get each other home deport cards.. CRAP now I gotta be creative!?!?) and then my husbands parents, and not to mention his real father (single) who he always seems to forget about but I feel it's my duty now to make sure something gets sent off properly.

I have... no idea what to do for all that.

wednesday feels like thursday to me today. you can always go the gift card route. thats what i did last year for mikes extended family.. bath and body certificates for the girls!

I have a friend I'm making a knit gift for, but I'm careful not to splurge on expensive yarns or needles at this point because she might not like it enough. And because my family is clueless about gifting each other, we're doing a secret santa and making lists. No spontaneity, but no ugly sweaters this year!

Hey and Victoria's Secret is having a bonus giftie thing right now - you get a makeup set with purchase of $50 or more - the ad said for online the code is BEAUTY....
