My Secret Sources

Okay well I thought I would make a post about my sources I used to learn to quilt and sew. Several of these places have sewing forums as well.

First there is the Sewing World Commons. They actually have a section devoted to sewing machines and manufacturers, I found atleast 5 other people with the same machine as me and they helped me a lot. They also had good quilting advice.

Another place I love to visit for anything and everything (From Gardening to Knitting) is the quilting forum at "Garden Web".

One that I visit from time to time, more recently to ask about what to do if you forgot to wash your fabric before you sewed something and don't want the colors to run, I went to Block Centrail and they had some good advice involving salt!

A good source of free patterns is the Quilters Cache, and then there is "Quilt Chat" which has a mIRC channel I went in and asked a zillion questions when I first was learning to make that baby quilt.

Then there is Craftster which is just about the coolest place on the web to chat with fellow crafty people.

Those are all the places I like to visit when I have quilting questions.

When I have knitting questions I go to Knitty Forums, Knitters Review Forum, Livejournal Knitting and then Craftster is fun for inspiration.
