I spent the majority of the evening yabbing to my friend (whom this quilt is for!) and to my mom, inbetween that I was cutting fabric.

They look a tad faded in the natural light, but I think they are a close match. Sadly I could only find one plaid, the real quilt has two plaids and a gingham. I did find the gingham.

So just a few more slices tommorow night and I can start laying it out! I am not sure if I cut enough sqaures, I tend to just sorta do things without thinking, one of the reasons I like quilt making. I don't have to count all my rows, muhahaha! I can just lay them all out, change them as I want, and take away or add more very easily. In that way I view quilting WAY easier then knitting.

So I am missing the strippy blue, and the second plaid. Frustrating! But I went to two fabric stores.. and the only plaid I found was flannel. I have to be careful about the blue so it's not something I can order online. If I get desprate I may try some other place. We will see once it's laid out.

I'm gonna go knit on my chickami for the last hour of the night!
