Chocolate Alpaca
I seem to like brown latley, it's such a warm color. I ripped out the sock last night, as it was a new sock pattern (from folk socks) and once I get to the heel it wasn't adding up at all, it wanted me to knit nearly half the stitches for the heel, and it didn't seem to make sence, it would have meant doing very odd things. You know me, I am way to anylitical and if my brain doesn't click, I rip!!!
So I am using a fun little fluffy ribbed pattern on the Blue Sky Alpaca. Let's see if I actually finish this shall we? I can't wait for my knitting Meetup, maybe someone can help me with my unfinished sweaters. I updated the Solid Socks Along page yesterday, well half of it before being interupted. I'll try to finish it today. I only got about half of the new names up! It's amazing how many participants we have!
i wanted to go see Harry Potter tonight, but it's nearly 3 hours long and I can't stay up until 3am. It will have to wait until tommorow, a good way to celebrate my first complete week at the new job!

Is the new Harry Potter out already? I'm so out of it.
I'm still searching for a pattern for my solid socks. I've told myself that I have to make a choice by Thanksgiving...

hey! i am interested in the Solid Sock-a-long (i'm a solid sock kind of person, anyway).
But the reason i am commenting is to let you know that you can get Lady Grey from British Express (http://www.britishimports.com/home.html) and if you enjoy loose tea, i'd get the one that comes in the tin, rather than the box. It's a Twinings tea and is a bit lighter in flavor than Earl Grey.

Hi,
what sort of heel do you usually knit? Mine is one where you knit half the stitches down to the sole and then turn the heel. I think it's called a dutch heel, but for me it's the German one my mom taught me.
Keep trying it.

Check out www.socknitters.com.Lots of instructions and help. The pattern is correct, you use half the stitches for heels on all socks. You will return to the original cast on number of stitches when you pick up for the gusset. Stick with and don't analyze too much. It starts to make sense once you get the heel finished.

These look so lush! I just ordered yarn to knit Hubby's Christmas (Valentine's Day?) socks so I can join in.
