This is the 2005 Rowan Birch knit a-long.

You will need 3 balls (227 yards each) to complete the scarf. I have read about people running out of yarn, and people having atleast half a ball left of yarn. Check your gauge before you start.

I started knitting Birch with Madil Kid Seta at the end of January. I ran out of yarn with about 100 stitches still on the needle. Fortunatley I was able to buy another ball in the same dye lot. Other people have said they used only 2.5 balls.
