MacGyver is still alive, the vets can't say enough how sweet he is and how suprised they are he is still moving around. He has a very high threshhold for pain. He just seems mildly uncomfortable.

My mother is extremly torn, if she should just go ahead and put him to sleep or not. I told her if his tale will still wage then not to put him to sleep yet, or to wait till she DOES know what to do and do it. As in if you are not sure, then just keep thinking. It's such a hard thing. To take a life, but to put something "out of it's misery". I don't feel right, making the call to end someone or somethings life. Doesn't seem right, but of course there is empathy and pain for not only the dog but for my mother as well.

God I Love That Dog. I don't want him to die.

I am the "queen of repression" as my husband likes to call me, so I'll talk about something else.

Update
I spoke with my mother this afternoon on the way home and she has decided not to do anything with him, he seems to be okay (as okay as can be). She sounded MUCH better, and MacGyver sounded like he was having a good day.
