How lucky is this girl?

The only thing I could think to do to help me say thank you, my wonderful secret pal, was to take a photo of my happyness (I don't normally like to take photos of myself in my PJ's!).

Happy Pixie w/ Tea

I am SUCH a lucky girl, I have the BEST pal ever! I always, from the first days I heard of Secret Pals, thought how fun it would be to get someone from another country. How lucky I am that I did! She is sooo thoughtful in all the things that she gets me. I am simply in bliss over this package.

Secret Pals 7

Burts Bea's Cuticle Stuffs - Lemon, yum! I adore Burt's Bees and just recently accidently washed the only Burt's item I owned, some lip balm which I loved. So this makes me very happy!

Marmite Yeast Extract - This is very foreign to me but the note came with suggestions for use, and the one that says to put 1/2 tsp in hot water and milk, well that I *must* try.

Highland Shortbread - Oh how this reminds me of our trip to Australia! All the hotels had shortbread cookies and tea. We don't ever get that in the US, even in expensive hotels. I loved Australia so much because every hotel room had tea, and not "lipton" tea but tea's with actual flavors!

Twinings Aromatics Organic Earl Gray - Can I say wow? This has the most unique flavor, I have never seen this tea before but I am familair with Twinings. When I opened the box i felt like a princess, it was just all very grand and the design of the box was so pretty. I could smell the tea when I had first opened the shipping box. As you can see in the first photo, I have had some, and the cookies are soo yummy in it. I am a big fan of organic things, so how neat these are organic. My pal has superb taste :)

Yarn pr0n from europe

The yarn, lets talk about this yarn! This yarn is EXACTLY the type of sock yarn I would see in a store and love and want! It's soo pretty. The color is called "Ocean" and it reminds me of the color of the water, when your in Hawaii or the Bahamas, and there is white sand, and there is a place or a large sandbar, so the sea water is ever so thin and see-thru and has that slight aqua hue to it. It is faded and antique and perfect. MY PAL RULES! Thank you soooooooooooo much my wonderful Secret Pal!

Oh yeah, it's Cuious Yarns, 100% wool (Superwash!) 4ply 260 yards. I can make some cute little socks with this!

I just finished my first cup of that Early Gray. So Yummy! *happy dance happy dance*

Very cool! You are lucky! I want some yummy snacks too! and BBs (my nickname for Burts Bees) is my faaaaavorite!

Yay! It's arrived!!! (I did have visions of it arriving in time for SP9 or 10...)

And you like it - phew! (I get _soooooo_ nervous about this.) I even have a "Happy Pixie in her PJs" pic to prove it :-)

Do be careful with the Marmite - the first sandwiches my MIL made for my FIL, not long after they were married, were Marmite sandwiches - she'd never seen it before (she was brought up in Scotland, apparently they didn't have it there), so spread it rather thickly - the poor man was reduced to squeezing it out to try to make the sandwiches even vaguely edible! (And then he had to negotiate the tricky task of expressing his gratitude for such a "treat" to his new bride... - without running the risk of getting the same thing every day.)

OOops - I'm making it sound not nice - it is, just don't use too much at once.

And I'm so pleased you like the yarn - I hoped it was your colours.

That yarn looks super pretty and the the and cookies look yummy. I might need to go get me a secret pal!!
