Virtual Yarns - Alice Starmore & Friends

Read this article and make sure to watch the video link as well. Simply amazing, I feel like this is the stuff the news should show more often.

I simply adore all the yarns and pattern on your site, soooo beautiful!! I know it may not be as traditional but I think it would be wonderful to see some v-neck sweater with shaping. I know there are a lot of 20 something knitters out there who really love your stuff, but want something that shows a little curve! Hope I don’t offend, love your stuff!

Hi Pixie,

I passed your mail over to the studio, where it caused quite a lot of hilarity and no offence. Most of our customers want straighter shapes and we get complaints if our pics are remotely sexy. However, there are plenty of shaped designs if want them and have the figure for them. Check Elizabeth I, Sheilavig, Scapa (note the fit), St Catherine and above all, Elizabethan Jacket, which is a tour de force of curve, shape and fit.

We all agree - if you have a proper waist to show off then show it off. We do it all the time.

Best wishes,

Fiona Macdonald @ VY

In other news, I got buttons from Joann's over lunch. I can't wait to put them on tonight!

Very, very cool. Can you ask them to lower the prices now? :-)

What a great response! I bet you made their day. I'm going to go look at some of the recommended designs now...
