Pixie Purls Knitting & Spinning

I love knitting!

It is sooo fun how knitting brings all kinds of people together. It's not like we are different, it's just I doubt we would have met each other otherwise. So it's such a wonderful excuse to make new friends!

It began with lunch at the Crimson Moon

That't Tammy with me, she was so kind as to meet me about 5 minutes from my house and let me ride up with her, which made the trip lots more fun! We talked on the ride up and it was just as though we had talked a dozen times before. I am just so amazed by how cool everyone just seems to click and get along as if we have been meeting for a year or more!

Then we went to the yarn store which i didn't take any photos of. I got some Rowan Calmer and those chibi darning needles I have been needing for about a month now.

Last the 5 of us left went and sat up on a balcony of a little cafe type place and knitted for a while. All I know is when I left the house it was a bit after 10, and I got home around 5:30. The day just flew by and was loads of fun!

Just came across your podcast and I love it! Great Job!

Yes! I think it is really cool too! I love going to chat with the ladies at our local knitting group.

We are so happy to have you in our group. You are so lively that it gets everyone talking!!! THANK YOU! And its nice to have someone posting on our group for once.

Let us know when you are having that party. Just go ahead and post it on the site.

Looks like loads of fun =) I'm glad you had such a good time. Can't wait to see your top when it's finished =)

Wow, looks like so much fun! I hope that I can find a group even similiar to that when I moved. BTW, LOVING your podcasts!

Hi Pixie! I just listened to your podcast - great job! I have to say, I'm definitely having a much better experience with my Blue Sky Alpaca Silk - possibly because my LYS wound up the yarn for me. I'm making the Highland Triangle Shawl from Folk Shawls, and I just love love love (did I say it enough?), how the yarn feels! I can't wait to finish the shawl! I'll be posting pictures on my blog soon if you would like to see how it turns out.

Keep casting!

Wendy
