The Little Details & FO's
I got this far picking up stitches for the neck

but then it all looked awful along the back, so I opted to leave it alone and try again later (DANG IT!).
I love the way things look outside after a bad storm

Everything just sort of glows.
Oh yeah and this FO which goes in my "loser" pile

See me trying to stretch it down to cover the belly?
The Dalegarn Trend top that I made in Svale. I like this yarn, but it's just not doing it for me. Not to mention I didn't pick up enough stitches on one of the arms holes so the hole is "smaller" on one side.

I love the colours you choose, especially for the Dalegarn top. It's a shame to toss it into the loser pile.

Oh, what a shame about the Dalegarn top - I'd be like you though - wanting it to cover my belly - although I'm guessing that mine needs it considerably more than yours does (having two kids will do that to a belly...)
There are people who would unpick the ribbing at the bottom, pick up stitches and add some length - have a hunt round and see if you can find any instructions. The colour is so pretty, and the neckline at the back is really cute, it'd be a shame to give up on it. And as for the armhole - well either it won't really show, or you could have another go.
But I'm guessing that for now you just want to put it away for a little while...
ES (it is ES, right?) is looking so cute - I can't wait to see her finished.

In addition to what Anne said about lengthening it, you can also take in the sides with a sewing machine (as in "Yarn Harlot -- Secret Life Of). Knitted fabric is fabric, after all. I'm sure you could add some "afterthought side-seam shaping" to pull it all in. It would suck to spend all that time on something you can't even wear.

Whoa! Is that the London top from the Dalegarn Trend NR123? I made that last September and even though I added to the ribbing, it still came out a little on the short side.
I used some cheap cotton yarn...you can see it here:

I know this has nothing to do with your knitting, but I love your hair! (and listening to your podcasts while walking to classes... you have a great voice for it)
