a little concerned
Isn't it perty on the niddy noddy? Well when it came off it curled all in on itself (it's a single). I have never had yarn on my wheel do that so I'm wondering if it's because it's so dang thin, or well I spun an unblananced yarn. Do two wrongs make a right if I ply it?? lol!
I'm confuzled. It's hanging in the laundry room to dry now.
Oh yeah and the stuff I planned on getting and then got last night. I was almost tempted to get yarn, but was good and only got what I went in to get!
More of the Luxe Merino Top (a pretty beige, sorry bad lighting, it's late) and another Greensleeves, this time a "Lady Barbara" (Pomelle Bubinga / Paduk).
I still like the vixen best, but I wanted to get something a tad heavier (I think about .4 oz heavier at most).

Is it a single or is it plied? (I can't tell from the picture.) If it's a single, and you haven't blocked the yarn, yes, it will curl back on itself. If it's plied and it curls back on itself, your yarn is unbalanced. This isn't necessarily a bad thing!

If it's not plied, when you ply it, it should balance out as long as you ply it balanced ;o)
I've been told that if you want to ply 'balanced' you should put three treadles in for every one you put in when you spun it. However, I just ply by 'feel' and haven't really counted my treadles...

If it's single and you just spun it (meaning that you hadn't let it set on the bobbin for a day or so)then it should twist up. Yes, when plied it will counterbalance with the new.
If you are not planning to ply it and keep it as a single. Soak and set it, it will probably be fine.
