Progression

Okay so I plied the first stuff I spun up;

Merino Top Superwash

And now I am taking a second go at it, to be more even. I was sloppy with the first stuff because I was just learning. I'm sure there is enough to make socks! This time around I am trying not to let it go too thin in spots, and to get a more even twist.

I'm so very in love with this fiber. I keep wanting to smoosh it in my face. I think I have gone over the edge. I am a spin-aholic. Send help.

Oh and just for fun, here is video of me spinning;

Oh and in case your wondering, the roving is from Luxe.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know I've been reading (and listening) for awhile now :)

And cool video - I'm pretty much completely clueless about spinning. (Cast On hehe)

oooh, i love it! so purdy! superwash is so nice to spin, super slippery and you can't felt it no matter what. me loves that! i just dyed a batch of sock yarns for knitch that will be going out on monday or tuesday, and i will be adding some to my site this week.

Cool!!! You're listening to Cast-on with Brenda Dayne!

I love it that you love spinning so much! Nice to see your progress on your blog. Well done! What are you going to make from the yarn you've spun? Or do you plan on keeping it around to pet for a while?

Nice PJs - Love your spinning video. You are Mrs. Gadget Multimedia ;-) Can't wait to see you start the socks with the wonderful home-spun yarn! Have a great week!

The latest Cast-On!

Wow, you're really good on the drop spindle. I'm not quite so graceful (which is why I generally only spin on my wheel). =) The second video made me laugh. =)

look at how many hits you got on u-tube! is that 'coz you keep going there and playing yourself?!* Seriously though...yer rather photogenic and remind me of one of my favorite comic actresses...Carol Kane! thanks fer showing how itz done!

Your spinning looks great! Pretty fiber, too.
