dang nab it
I have had trouble falling asleep 2 nights in a row now, and it's starting to get annoying. I'm feeling much better but my nose/throat/sneeze looks as though it might linger throughout the whole week.
This weekend my husband stayed at some posh hotel in Detroit and he laughed because it was more expensive then any others he had stayed in but it had a nudey club right downstairs and across the street. I told him, that's why the hotel was more expensive.
I think i am kind of odd, but I suppose we all have our limits. As the Dish Network broke and they want me to pay money to them for them to fix it on the roof, I decided to switch. This time I went with Direct TV only because I got a bundled deal with my home phone and internet. Also something really cool, I was able to double our internet speed for only $5 and it was fairly fast already so I am kind of excited about that! I think it will be the same speed as cable now which I had always heard was faster then DSL, but I think DSL just put a plug on it to keep you from getting to much and plus it's neat cause you can pay for lower speeds if your low on money. So right now I am only getting about 10 channels and none that I WANT, so next monday I will be happy again once I can watch MTV and SCIFI.
Well so anyways they wanted $20 a month to get TiVo and I was like, um no. So I wonder... why am I such a prude about some things but not at all about yarn purchases? I guess we have to be prudent about something and it just depends on your choices.
My Tilli Tomas came from kpixie in RECORD time, amazing. I have 2 more smaller purchases I expect in the mail soon. My first STR sock yarn in a special color-way that finally made me unable to resist, and 1 lb of Shetland roving that I simply can't wait to get. It's going to be natural white so I can dye it. I like to spun un-dyed yarn so i think if I dye it, I'll do a semi-solid after.
I only have 1 increase row left and I will be done with the waist shaping. I always feel pretty good once I get to the armhole shaping, the point in-between the last of the waist and before that cast off for the arm holes tends to kind of blow by, because I don't have to do much, but at the same time it seems far because I'm knitting to "X" inches and not going by a pattern.
In the news: Geez, can't they leave the sheep alone!

But, girl? TiVo rocks! It's like the best appliance in the world. We have two. (Hanging my head in shame.) I can watch tv on my schedule and not worry about if I put the tape in or not.
We have DirecTV and love it.

That news story is so sad: The sheep are unwanted because they are ugly, then scientists do tests on them. Poor ugly science-experiment sheep!
However, that yarn you have is anything but--it's gorgeous! Love the color. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

My DH and I could not justify TIVO either (because both of us are like you and have 'other' things to spend $$ on such as yarn, concerts, etc) so he went out and got a DVR recorder. It works fairly well. We just cannot watch another channel while it is recording. It also will record DVDs...just an option ;)
