Nearly Over
So it's lunch time sunday and sadly the weekend is nearly over. It's not over yet though and I plan on enjoying what's left. However I do have to work some from home but that's okay.
I am very happy with the new furniture, It's way smaller then our old couch, which is better in our living room. So now the room feels much larger.
That's my new knitting spot. It's aimed directly at the tv, and I can also see out the front door which is nice during the day (it has a large stained glass center). Please ignore the floor it needs to be cleaned REALLY badly, but the only way we know how to do it is to get on our hands and knees with 409. Your not supposed to use water or soak it. If anyone has pergo type flooring and knows an easier way to make it pretty please let me know!
Soooo... I realized I had to frog it when on friday night I messed up another row. I handed it to claudia at saturday SnB and she frogged it all perfectly for me, right up to the first knit row after the purls. That women knows how to knit! I hope to one day be as confident and competent a knitter as she is.
Click here to see the photo very big and see how pretty this yarn really is. I'm going to try to knit as much as I can inbetween working today, and I hope to get nearly finished with the lace panel so that I can finish up the body this week and start in on the sleeves. The lace has really slown me down. I would have been done with the body by now normally. It's just too hard with how dark the yarn is and I'm no lace expert. Somehow I randomly wind up with the wrong amount of stitches EVEN WITH the markers.

Murphy's oil soap? Not a clue! 409 makes me sneeze =)
Sorry about the frogging, but you'll be happier with it in the long run, I'm sure. =) That is once you figure out the lace bit. Maybe if you cast on the right number of stitches in some OTHER yarn that's easier to practice with, you can get used to the pattern, then try with the sequin stuff. ??? sometimes I do that when I am confused about stuff =)

Your SKB really looks nice - I love the colors. Sorry you had to frog :( but at least you are on track now!

I would give anything to rip out this horrible off-white wall to wall carpet out of our house and replace it with hardwood. Your new furniture looks nice.. very sophisticated!

Your throne is very much like mine: different color. Maybe, I will post a pic some day.
The WIP is very pretty. I am knitting a sweater for DH in a similar color from Noro, Cash Iroha.
Knitting is very forgiving. My aran cardigan is like a Where's Waldor for when I went wrong in the cable crossing. My secret...

kitties just love to snuggle on warm leather

I love your furniture! We've been looking for something similar. Mind sharing your source?
Kudos on the bodice, as well. It's gonna look smashing.

Gorgeous! I love your color and the lace looks great! Way to go!
Like the furniture, I'm afraid of what our dogs would do if we cog leather! They are always up jumping around on it. OK only Abyy does....

We use a Hoover Floormate to do our pergo floors. It sprays them with a combination of warm water and floor cleaner and then immediately sucks it all back up again leaving the floor spotless and dry. I love my Hoover Floormate. I'd be its mate if they let me.

Love the SKB Pixie, it looks great! For the floors, I also have a Hoover Floormate and love it, but for quick cleaning I also use the swiffer wetjet or the clorox ready mop I believe it is called (I have both). I have used them on pergo before and they work really well.
Mindy says;
My sister has pergo and she uses the swiffer wet jet, but a word of caution. The wet jet's cleaning solution can be very dangerous for animals. There is a warning on the swiffer about it.
