Manos Cotton Stria and other things
So on this MLK day I had to go to work, however the highlight is very little traffic. So I went to the LYS for lunch because I knew it wouldn't take to long to drive. My eyes got caught on this funky-curly-cotton, Manos Cotton Stria. It's soo soft. I don't normally like knitting with cotton, or curly yarn. I did get to see a swatch knit in it and I liked it.
The green is softer and paler then this photo and the blue is actually a bit more blue. Very pretty, kettle-dyed colors.
So here is my current knit from Debbie Bliss "Simply Soft"
I don't normally knit in such large yarn, but it certainly goes faster! Lets hope I can finish it before global warming takes over early spring. It was freakin beutiful out today, around 70 degrees. Tommorow has a high of 45! Talk about weather that will make people sick, it's colder inside my building right now then it is outside.

Mmmm, yummy looking curly yarn and yummy looking thick yarn! I agree re the weather situation, same thing happening down here in the southern hemisphere - super scorching hot one day, misty and raining the next!

Hey--I just knit that! It's a fun pattern, and all I need to do to finish is to re-knit the sleeve caps because of a guage incident. Have too much fun!

The yarn looks so lovely! I actually like cotton when it is all squishy (like Blue Sky Organic Cotton, mmmmmm), I always feel like it is the perfect baby yarn too. I can top the weather, we are in the middle of our summer in New Zealand and we are colder than you are in your winter! (This is not normal!) Our temp is barely going above about 60F at the moment. It is a crazy thing that is happening with the weather around the world, very scary!
