Harry Potter!

Just in case you have been living under a rock, Harry Potter is in theaters TONIGHT! You can catch midnight shows at most theaters. I'm too tired for a midnight show but we will try to make a 10pm tommorow night. We have a wonderful theater north of our house, it's pretty new and only takes cash, but it never has lines and has fantastic seating. To be honest I wish it was coming out in the fall, the movie is so much more appropriate for that time of year but this one seemed to take longer then the others so I guess they didn't want to put it off any longer. I'm very excited, I've had the book on pre-order for months now and I think they ship out around the 17th, and Atlanta has a Amazon warehouse so maybe I will get lucky and get it a day earlie (a girl can dream!).

Goodluck getting tickets!

I'm SO hoping that the film of HP5 is wonderful - the director (David Yates) came to my wedding. (At the time he was engaged to my cousin. They split up not long after, but there's no bad feeling there.) Mind you, he hasn't half changed since then - I didn't recognise him at all in recent photos in the press!

I KNOW! I can't wait for this movie- or the book for that matter! Have you made anything from Charmed Knits yet?

I am beyond excited about Book 7, but the movie? I think the timing is really, really awkward. Not only did I just finish reading Book 5 on Sunday as part of my prepatory-re-reading for Book 7, but I'll be reading Book 6 this weekend. In my opinion, seeing ANY movie right after reading the book is a mistake--you spot too many discrepancies that way (and they drive me nuts). But also, if I don't see it before Saturday, I'll be into Book 6, and going to see movie #5 will be going backward . . . And, heaven forbid I should get Book 7 before seeing Movie 5 . . . if (shudder) Harry were to die at the end, how on earth could I blithely go to the theater to see him and Umbridge?

In other words, if I don't get to see the movie before Friday--which is questionable--I probably won't bother seeing it in the theater at all. Whereas, if it had come out even in August, I would definitely have gone!

Good gracious heavens . . . isn't the 21st EVER going to get here?

Hooray for Harry Potter! I told hubby all I want for my birthday is book 7 ... I can't wait! :)

I can't wait. We are seeing the movie tonight!! My book was on order the first day Borders was taking reservations... and I really am starting to think the world will end before it hits the stores... but I love Harry... and I become "overly" anything when it regards something I love.

So sue me. ha.

Dont worry, I wont post any spoilers on my blog.... unless something HUGE happens and I cant shut up about it.

I should be cat napping... but I cant sleep. It's 103 today. ugh! Hurry a/c'd theater!!
