Yarn Harlot is in Atlanta

Well I had signed up to attend in hopes me and baby Sydney could go see her, I heard a rumor people with babies and pregnant women get to go first muhahaha. But alas, baby girl is not even 2 weeks old yet and my peditritian would have a fit if I told him I took her into a room with 700 people, plus I personally don't think it's the wisest thing to do with a newborn! So yeah a week ago I e-mailed knitch and let them to give my spot to someone else... I always wanted to hear her speak to and I'm not sure if she'll come round to the south again in the next decade. Oh well, I get to sit here and listen and look at this all day. I think it's a fair trade:

Her little arms have already gotten longer because her fingers won't stay inside the little protectors on her shirts. Luckily I was able to file her nails a bit before this happend. She's gonna fit in her knits soon I think, not that I am rushing it! I can't wait to get some cute real "FO" shots of the stuff I knit!

aww!! Too cute!! What a little DARLIN! You're a very lucky Mummy, and the Harlot, alluring in all her knitterly wisdom though she may, will have to play second fiddle to your angelic little muffin there! :)

She is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Makes the puking a bit easier. ;-)

To be honest with you.. I'm a little freaked out at the thought of being in a theater with 700 other people. My absolute curiosity about who will all be there sort of trumps my fear of unusually large groups of people.. but just barely. I am looking forward to hearing Harlot speak.. but I think that you've got the better end of the deal ;)

heheheheeee she's just SO cute and I LOVE her little happy grin - sweetie pie. The Harlot will probably come back around next year.

She's pretty darn cute without the FOs too! She sure is smiley for a newborn! The YH is great but she comes in 2nd to this little 'un!

How adorable is your baby! oh my gosh! I think it is a fair trade to get to stay home with that little baby knitter! LOL.

Awwww, she is such a cutie Pixie! Sorry that you two won't see the Harlot. I had hoped to make it up there to see her too, but life got in the way. Can't wait to see baby girl modeling her knits!

Hey Girl!

It is a fair trade. Aren't you in love. So cute. So sweet.

You're one lucky gal!
:o)

I love her smile, she looks like she knows that she is way more fun than anything else going on right now.

That there is some overwhelming cuteness. :)

TOTALLY worth it. :) Your Sydney is a doll. :)

Aw, she's so beautiful! You know, I know a couple who took their 3 week old to the movies (but then again, this was in July). Have fun with her.

She is just too cute!! I'm sure you'll get to see the Yarn Harlot some other day.

We brought Thaya with us to a wedding when she was two weeks old... but it was too much for her. She was totally overstimulated by the middle of it. Just snuggle up with your cutie pie instead, you'll both be much happier :)

OMG - she's just too cute for words! Congrats once again!

You should have your friend at least audiotape Stephanie for ya!

Congrats on a beautiful daughter. you had her on my wedding anniversary so Sept. 7 is a lucky date.

the harlot was fantastic, you have a beautiful daughter AND...I don't think you missed your one chance...there IS a new book coming out..ya know! Hope to see you soon!

Your daughter is just lovely. I remember when mine was that small. Enjoy!
