2 Months

Well it has been 2 months and life certainly is different around here. In some ways it's not different at all, then in other ways it's a total 180. It is all good in my mind!

babywearing

The husbeast kept using the Moby Wrap and told me baby girl fell asleep in it the other night, so I've used it some more and what do you know but she's fallen asleep in it twice now for me. It's perfect for 7pm at night when she's fussy and wants to be held but I get tired easily. This takes a bit of the load off my arms. Babywearing is wonderful, I think all hositals should send people home with one of these wraps, all it is is one long piece of cloth.

Last night something crazy happend, baby girl slept 10 hours straight. She woke up when Toby barked, but quickly fell back to sleep, and I heard her fuss around 3am, I checked the monitor and she went back to sleep and so did I and when I woke up the clock said 6am. I was in shock! I have no exptation for it happening again or happening regularly but man was that cool! I personally slept 7 hours for the first time in 2 months!

Back to knitting, I remember why I hate sleeves. They are so boring!!! No shaping, soooo boring!

I need to get to 12" and I'm only at 6". Check out the cover of Wild Fibers, that guys sheepwearing lol! Cute little baby sheep! I baked some blueberry muffins today, and a wild thought occured to me. Instead of using the premade mix with the freeze dried blueberries, I could put in FRESH blueberries. What a CRAZY thought huh?? I would like to try that sometime soon, not sure if there is a trick to it or what sort of mix to use with it that has that blueberry taste but doesn't come with the blueberries already in the mix. It also said on the back of the mix you can use it to make pancakes... mmmmm yum!

"sheep wearing" *giggles* He really is! Would that be considered "attachment shepherding"? hee hee.

Wow you look amazing for two months! I remember that first night of real sleep, you wake up feeling like a whole new person! :)

Not to get your hopes up, but Junior started sleeping long strecthes about that time and hasn't stopped since. It's nice!! He also gets the fussies in the evening.

That picture of you and the baby is so beautiful! I am all for those wrappy things. Plus you get to build muscles while you walk around with it!
I really want to start that pattern but I dont have any yarn for it!! Is that more of a dk weight?

Not to get hopes up either, but Kat started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. Sadly her brother didn't do it until he was 9.5 mos :( It really is amazing that first GOOD night of sleep.

i didn't know it was possible to look cute in a moby wrap, but you totally do! :)

ohhhhh I wish I looked as good as you do now after my little monkies were born *sigh* but THAT wasn't gonna happen when I gained 70lbs with my first LOL. Truthfully, my son was the one I held the weight on, my daughter, I gained 26lbs and lost all of it the first 3 months (I breast fed like madLOL). You look fab and congrats on the first night of uninteruppted sleep....many more to come!! My daughter is going to be 4 and I am ashamed to admit, she STILL does not sleep through the night. She does have a few minor medical issues they are FINALLY going to care for (adnoids and tonsills) and they say, that should do the trick!
I also wore my daughter in whats called a "baby sling", I SWEAR by them. As a matter of fact, I still have it and it was VERY well taken care of, any mommies want it, email me and you can have it if you pay postage! Happy pixie Family times :)

Wearing baby really is the best thing ever, especially when they have their fussy time.
Hopefully she will keep the sleep pattern for most nights.
Great blog.

Hooray for sleep!! Yay!! Ethan is a really good sleeper usually, I just seem to have insomnia. *pout*

so nice to happen apon a fellow atlantan knitter.

youre baby wrap is the CUTEST..and that blue yarn is SOOOOOO YUMMY!!!

are you a knitch shopper??? just was over there this afternoon...i seriously spend way too much time in that place!!

stella

lovely moby wrap! i wore my son in slings and mei tais til he was good into 3 years... even now i'll pack a sling if i think he'll need to be carried, so much easier to pop him into a sling than to have him in my arms.

Baby wearing is amazing and special. I think i wore my daughter till she was over a year old. When she pretty much decided to run everywhere she went. It is a very very special way to bond though. Enjoy it now!
