Happy New Year!
We braved an 8 hour drive up north to spend the Holidays with both sides of our family. I don't remember half of it, but we made it there and back without to much trouble! My BFF Laurel gifted me some cute knitting note cards and a knitting pattern box with baby knits. I'm to lazy to photograph them however.
Here are some highlights;
That's my mom, I look a lot like her huh? That side of the family is Russian and German! See my cousin and my aunt. The best part of this trip was mom making her very special Schulman family soup! She hasn't made it in probably 10 years, it was her mothers recipe.
My sister's boys liked their snow sled:

Here is Laurel with Baby Girl:

Sydney spent a lot of time with her cousins on DH's side and did very well socializing:

We spent a lot of time in the car:

I meant to knit, but I never knit a stitch. I had high hopes I would even finish the sweater I am working on. WTF was I thinking? Even if other people held her I was to tired to really even think about doing anything but sitting and just... sitting! We are back home now, I tried to buy some champaign but forgot it was sunday and so it looks like we will be toasting with Corona this year, have a Happy New Year!

Just wanted to drop you a quick line of "support" :) You do know that when you have a breastfed baby, she goes through "growth" spurts....meaning certain key times, she will power nurse for about a week, then, all will be back to normal nursing. Her nursing will increase DURING growing spurts. First one is between 4 % 6 weeks, second is around 4 months, next is around 6 months, then 8 months, then a year. Hope this helps. It bites for that week, but this too shall pass;)
Good luck with the sleeping, my daughter STILL does that and she is now 4. My son was easy, he eventually at 2 went off to his own bed, without pushing, our daughter...nope!! We figure with encouragement, she will EVENTUALLY go, she is not going to be 16 and still sleeping with us:) We just believe in kind of gentle nudging her now....she goes to sleep in her bed, but wakes and enters ours....it'll all work out in the end.
