Lazy Saturday

It's an overcast day, though oddly enough the forecast claims it's going to be 68 degrees today, and 72 tomorrow. But the sky is white and through the windows it looks cold out, like it would snow if it could. I'm trying something new in our house, no more TV while Baby Girl is awake. This is a big new/hard thing for me. The Husbeast and I both are fairly attached to the TV, but I hope this leads to more reading and knitting on my part. For example this morning;

Lazy Saturday

I knit, Baby Girl played, and the Husbeast slept in. He's back from Seatle where he got to meet and even ask Bill Gates a question, click here for the cool photo. He came back from the trip with a sore throat and I've been feeling a but under the weather myself, but Baby Girl seems to be in good sorts, besides some seriously stinky farts (TMI, I know!) and being crankier then ushual. I'll take it though, because last night she slept 10 hours straight in her crib. She woke up at 6am after going to bed at 8pm. She only slept 5 the night before so I was seriously celebrating. She also now loves to FULL ON laugh at our dog Willow, we have no idea why willow is such a source of comedy for her, but each morning we make sure she gets a good laugh out at the dog, hoping if she gets in the habbit she might start laughing at other things.

I'm loving knitting with that Art Fiber's Satori from San Fran, I might have to order up some more if I ever finish this sweater. I am very determined.

Comments

TV is such a time suck, isn't it? Especially when you are nursing. My husband likes to have it on almost ALL THE TIME, therefore, I've become a bit addicted. When he's not home I usually don't have it on, unless it's nighttime or something (like a Hitchcock marathon). My babe is unfortunately fascinated with seeing images on the TV, especially nature things (at least that's not bad). I figure it's somewhat ok for her to look at until she "figures it out" and then we'll have to monitor it. And don't you love how babies sleep habits like to change for no reason? For some reason my babe is really antsy on Friday nights (must be a partyer, I guess!), so she'll probably have a great night tonight. Go figure. Happy Belated three months!
