Pixie Purls Knitting & Spinning

« Cuteness Overload | Main | done, done, done »

you know you're tired when

...you wash your face with hair conditioner
...you go to get gas and when you go to retsart the car you realize you never put it in park (oh yeah and there was a baby in your car too, however you did put on the emergency break, thank goodness for that habit huh?)
...you hear the music on a toy which isn't in the same room as you, let alone even on, yet it still echo's in your mind and you swear you hear it and even start to hum along

It's even more apparent your tired when all three of these happen on the same day. The husbeast is sick and may require surgery, I'm tired, the weather is nasty, and while I am up to the armhole shaping on my cardigan it feels like I knit-knit-knit and have no progress at all.

But atleast BG is laughing, and has even started to shake her head no, however I am very sure she doesn't know it means no. It's funny to watch though.

My husband and I look back on the lack of sleep fondly. It's only temporary and someday will be a source of amusement for you. :) Hang in there!

Aww... Hugs.

Oh dear, that really isn't a good day, is it? (grin)

Does it make you feel better to know that I wash my hair with conditioner? And my handknits? It's pretty effective stuff!

Sorry about your guy =( Hope you get some good rest. I think babies understand quicker than we think. =)

Tired indeed! I hope you get some rest and I hope your hubby is OK!

Laughter is always the best medicine. Just let BG show you how to get through the tough stuff.

Prayers and Happy Thoughts!

Sounds all a bit tough at the moment, but Khalila is right - it does pass - even if it doesn't feel like it right now.

Cuddle that gorgeous baby girl, and I hope J gets well soon.

Oh Pixie it sounds like you have a lot on your mind right now. I hope husbeast will be alright. and today will be a better day

((hugs))

Oh Pixie, I totally know what you are going through, and I had to add one to your list. You know you are tired, when you pull into a parking spot, and the person next to you is pulling out, but you don't realize they are going in reverse, you just think you are going forward, and you press your brake over and over again and nothing seems to be making your car stop, and you almost have a heart attack, and then you realize, "I'M NOT MOVING", the other car is just going backwards.

sorry, pix...there are those days. hang in there. hope the hubs is going to be okay, he has my thoughts, as do you. smiles.

I had to laugh at this post! I feel your tiredness. My babe has decided that now she is all healthy again, she never has to sleep. I don't think I've really slept in two weeks. A collegue of mine reminded me that they're only this little for such a short period of time. It's all temporary. I do hope your husbeast gets better and if he does need surgery (!!) that it goes smoothly. I wish sleep on you....I am hoping to get some right now!

Ahh...

Welcome to motherhood! Ain't it great???

But looking at that sweet little baby is so worth it all, isn't it?

Here's to better, more organized days ahead!

This is so true! I found myself laughing out loud, which is something I desperately needed today since my own cutie is also sick, as am I. It feels like it will never end when you and your baby are sick. Just take it day by day and sneak in some naps however you can. You will all be feeling better in no time!
