My First Pattern - Preview

Well here it is, my first pattern. I was going to submit it to knitty, but given the nature of the yarn I used and it being for the 4th of July, I had already missed the summer deadline. So instead I will be making it available on my site as my first ever published pattern! Here it is in size 12 months. It will be available in 6/12/18 month sizes. It can of course be knit in something other then this festive yarn so it's not specific to the 4th of July, but the idea came from my wanting something for BG to be able to wear that wasn't too hot, and I wanted something cuter then a regular top from the stores.

It's a bit too big on her right now as she isn't in a size 12 months just yet, I'm planning ahead.

I am currently having it test knit, as well as tech edited to make sure it is perfect! I would love some input and suggestion on names, if you have a creative idea mention it in the comments, otherwise vote for the names below.

I still have to create and format the PDF file, have a proper photo-shoot and of course clean up the pattern and get the results from the tech editor. Do you think you would want to knit it?

It's almost as cute as she is!

HECK YEAH!

I'm terrible with creative names, so I have nothing to contribute there, but I had to say it is absolutely ADORABLE. And the photo of your little one wearing it is just TOO dang cute!!

Well of course I'd knit it;) I'm hoping to knit some more for the baby onslaught that's coming soon. Also, I think that if you layer it over a white long sleeve tee it would work well all year long.

I'd so knit that for my little one! BG looks adorable in it:)

Ooh I must knit that up now!! :o)

Can't wait for the pattern!

I'd make one. What is that perfect yarn?

Adorable picture :)

Congratulations, it's beautiful :)

That's so freakin cute. If I had a kid she'd be wearing that on the 4th of July!

Congrats on your first pattern! What an adorable top! It looks like such a fun knit! :)

OMG that is so cute! I will have to make one for my niece!

Too cute!!! I can't wait to start knitting for my little girl!

It is TOTALLY adorable!

Happy Easter and all things chocolate!

Love it! Looking forward to making one for my 6-month-old. I bet if you added some more rows it could be a really cute dress too!

SO cute. You've got a real talent. Keep up the good work.
