busy bee

It's been a busy May and the month hasn't even technically started yet. Having a baby sorta seems to have given me a big kick in the ass as far as my actually doing things I always meant to do but never did. We've been cleaning more stuff, actually buying groceries and cooking more, paying more attention to what we spend money on and any choices we make. It's weird how sometimes I look back on life prior and think how self involved our life was. I don't think we did anything wrong or lived a bad life at all, it's just funny how the focus shifts. I enjoy all of it, I love being a mom. I didn't know if I would or had any pre-conceived notions about it. I'm glad I love it so much, and appreciate that fact. BG crawled for the first time today, it was so fun to watch. She laughed hysterically whenever she did it.

We got a super great deal on a beach house and planned a very last minute trip for May and I am SO excited about going to the BEACH! Now I have to stock up on gear so we can have a good time. I don't do well in the sun very long (the irish in me) so I am going to get a sun canopy so we don't have to run around trying to find or haul a big umbrella, and a nice big beach towel to sit on, and one of those neat floaty things for BG to sit in, in the pool, and be covered from the sun. Sooo excited.

I've been swatch-ing for the next top I'm designing. I love knitting with hempathy, but it's not exactly working out as I imagined so I might have to switch to the summer tweed and play with that until something *clicks*.

I am just looking forward to all the adventures May will bring; Maryland, the beach, a visit from Meeko. It's going to be a busy month!

Hurray for crawling!!! You won't get to sit still ever again!! LOL

sounds like a fun and full time. i love planning trips. it is the anticipation i love, counting the days until the family can be away. we have been using arbonne sunscreen for the babes and it seems to really protect their baby skin, and not get everywhere. hope your may is lovely. bg just looks adorable.

Can't wait to visit! I think about it every day. I can't believe BG is crawling! I am looking forward to see her crawl! I hope we can go swimming too as well as knitting!
see you in a few weeks,
meeks

AAhhh the first crawling SO sweet! Horaay on your beach excursion. Coppertone has a spray on spf 50 waterproof stuff that works SO well! I tan pretty fast, but when I put that stuff on I don't change color at ALL! awesome awesome stuff.
