Will you be in Maryland?
I am curious as to who will be going to MSW. I suppose there isn't a blogger meetup, not that I have heard. I really enjoyed seeing fellow bloggers last time I went. Cara organized that huge shindig the year I went. She just had a baby so I doubt she's coming. I know there are several Ravelry events and I plan to go to Saturdays, but I think I'll miss seeing all the bloggers together. It's like a little family! Sadly I don't see "my two left needles" Monica blogging anymore. Eunny doesn't blog like she used to now that she works for Interweave. Who knows if any of those people would have gone again anyway. I do hope to see some familiar faces though.

(I believe I stole all of those photos when I originally blogged them so feel free to yell at me if I did)
It's ironic Cara and Monica and I now have had a child, so weird and crazy! Also I haven't seen Anne Marie blog in forever.
I am very excited to be going if you can't tell. Only a few more weeks and I'll be knee deep in fibery goodness. I'm going to check out some Golding Spindles, and some STR for some future "Country Kiddie" tops. Speaking of which, I've gone all mental knitting loads of them. I had a plan when I made the pattern you see, I've had requests for it to be longer like a dress, or other embellishments. When I created the pattern I wanted to make it as simple as humanly possible, and then anyone can get creative with it. I made it with a wide enough neck to fit over a babies head, but ALSO so that you don't have to start on DPNs. The 6 month size JUST fits, if I had made a 3 month size I would have had to change the directions. I wanted to keep it uber simple. It would be easy enough to knit for a 3 month old by going down to size 0 needles and starting on DPNs though! So I can't stop knitting them because it's SO brainless, a lot like socks!
I'm now working on my Gryffindor version. I love knitting it in thick stripes because it seems to knit faster as you look forward to each color change. I am using Regia Nation.
In other crafty news I am making a tutu, just to be silly. For BG of course but it's good to know how for future halloween costumes etc. They aren't very hard to make either. I'll post a tutorial and some in progress photos soon. I was doing a search on the internet for pixie wings for kids, when I saw the pixie tutu's and noticed how expensive they are and then searched for how to make them and realized it's super easy.

I see many Country Kiddies in my future as well! You should be very pleased with yourself for this pattern because it's going to go a long way! Will send you pictures of my STR one hopefully this weekend. Love the pic of BG, the amount of ravenous gnawing they do--you'd think we don't feed them, huh?? LOL

There's a really cute pair of fairy wings in the Boho Baby Knits book---I was going to make them for my niece once she got a little older.
