FO - Minimalist Cardi

(The color looks the best in this shot)
Well, maybe I'll like it later. It's huge. I took some semi-okay photos, I wanted to wear it to MS&W but I think I'll just leave it at home and have more room in the suitcase for yarn. I am going to send it to my Irish Aunt Pat, I know she always wanted me to knit her something and I'm sure she won't mind it being a bit roomy.
I also messed up seaming one shoulder, it's more puckery then the other because I guess I got too excited. It's funny, when I knit socks the first sock is perfect, the second sock will have errors. When I seam one side will be great and the other will be messed up. I really didn't rush it, I did one half each night and it took around about the same amount of time. Wish I liked it more, but it's just too big and makes me feel like a square. The husbeast said my workman ship and the yarn are fantastic, but he feels fashion-wise it is "Startrek Granny".
Pattern: Minimalist Cardigan
Yarn: Artfibers Satori (San Francisco)
Gotta love the lopsided sleeve length in the last photo, I think that was a blocking problem. I suck!

"Startrek Granny".. omg.. that just made me snort out loud. While I do think the sweater is beautiful as a hand knitted garment.. I see what you mean about the style. I think it looks a little 'tired' and isn't nearly fashionable enough to suit your personality! (though I'm sure with a newborn in the house you certainly FEEL tired & shleppy enough to wear a 'granny sweater'. I remember.. lol)
I don't knit many sweaters because I can never seem to find anything I like enough to spend the time on.. something that I'd actually wear a lot.

It IS very pretty, but it does look more like Aunt or Mother "material".
