Maryland Sheep & Wool 2008

I was ready, I had my boots and my hat. I did not get sunburn, in fact neither did BG or the husbeast. I made sure we all used sun-block. Go responsible adult person! (oh, that was me... hah).

We brought the rough and rugged stroller, super easy for navigating through sheep poo and mud.

However, I never saw any sheep poo, or mud. Oh but there was some super cute, ewok-ish alpaca's!

an ewok alpaca!

We spyed on some adorable baby Finn, on the way to the Ravelry meetup.

(Have no fear, those sheep are in the shade with plenty of ventilation)

There was a LOT of people at that meetup.

I was a bit overwelmed and left, but not before saying hit to Jess and Casey.

We ended the day by relaxing under a tree, surrounded by tulips.

Later that evening I ventures out by myself to the Ravelry party and first thing saw some familiar faces.

I saw the Rav crew together, giving out a mother-load of prizes.

Then I ended the day by saying hi to bob.

Stash enhancements up next... I have to go collapse on the bed first though...

Ooooh! How I ADORE living vicariously through other people's fantastic fibre festival experiences!! We have so few (read, none) here in Oz, I LUFF seeing all the pics, merchants, blogger meet ups and excitement to be had!

Glad to see you had such an awesome time, and Mr Pix and Bubby too - love the photo of you and she with the alpaca - and her little tiny plushie alpaca!! Cuuuuuute! :)

Looks like a great time was had by all!

I love love love your hat! Where did you get the pattern or buy it? Never has dodging the sun's evil rays looked so adorable.

Looks like you all had a great time! I must comment on the pic of you and BG looking at the alpaca: A mama's smile when her child is experiencing something for the first time (and smiling as well!) is such a beautiful thing!

It looks like you all had fun!! I just thought I'd let you know that I just got the yarn you sent me. I can't wait to work with it, thanks so much.

Nice to meet you!

Great update! Hope you are all rested now!
Can't wait to see your fiber booty!

OMG- I'm always so jealous when everyone goes to the fiber fests. Maybe later this year.

BG is so cute with the alpacas. Just adorable.
