Halloween FO
I've actually come a long way on BG's halloween costume. I've knit one leg of her pants, and I finished knitting the top except I want to add something on to the bottom of it now. I haven't photographed any of that so here is another finished item (though it is missing the ears). It actually is WAY huge on her though you can't tell in the photos. I think if I have enough yarn I'll knit a second one and she can wear this one next year as a winter hat.
It's the "Lil-Devil" pattern. I modified the little devil arrows hanging off. The directions said to CO one stitch on each side but that looked awul, so instead I kfb on the stitches one inside from the edges. It turned out a lot cleaner. I think I also SSK'd instead of k2tog which for me always turns out cleaner. I'm using picky yarn so it was important to get it as perfect as possible. I cast on extra stitches because my gauge was smaller and I guess I over estimated which is why it's so big. I did a normal cast on and just picked up stitches for the sides.
I had grand plans to record two podcast's this week, but alas I am sick. Sucks. I had so much I meant to do this week with my very limited days before I go back to work and this entire week was a bust. I have no idea how I even got sick as no one else is sick around me or in the family.
So far I am just hoping BG doesn't catch it though she was a bit hot today, so I gave her some Tylenol before bed and I am crossing my fingers. Today she was taking up to 5 steps on her own before crouching down. She walks all the time by holding onto things or pushing things but this was the first time she took more then 2 steps on her own. Hopefully once the little devil costume is done I can get some cute shots of her walking around.
Here is the latest knit for myself. Can you guess the pattern (without peeking at my ravelry page!). Someone mentioned it in a ravelry thread and I knew I had to knit it as soon as I saw some other people's FO's. (crappy phone pic)
