No Gas in North Georgia (that we can find)
Remember that expensive purse I mentioned buying? I returned it. I couldn't bring myself to wear it to work. I'm weird like that. Then I saw about 15 women at the mall with the same purse a few days later, added to the fact that it wasn't doing it for me. More money for yarn!
Speaking of yarn purchases, I have been stalking Wollmeise though word is there won't be any new yarn until October. I just got some beautiful Oxford Kitchen BFL in a pretty lemon color-way, as she's about to go on hiatus with (aka giving birth to a child). She left me the sweetest little note in with the package. I can't wait to see pics of her little one. Newborns are just too wonderful for words.
Oh yeah, I had to work from home today (thank goodness I had my laptop) because THERE IS NO GAS HERE. Last night Claudia came over for a visit and realized as she was driving she didn't have enough gas to get home, and every station she stopped at, HAD NO GAS. The husbeast was on his way home and also stopped several places on his 30 mile trek home through atlanta and up north. NO GAS. We resorted to trying to get gas out of our honda's but apparently they are tamper proof. We resorted to lawnmower gas from the garage. Luckily on her way home the QT near our house had some gas. We made the mistake of not immediately going out to get some. I went out at 2pm today, waited in a gas-line for 30 minutes at the only place with gas near my house, and literally when I pulled up to my space in line to finally get gas, NO GAS. BG started screaming so I had to leave. Hopefully tonight the husbeast will be able to get some so I can go to work tomorrow.
In other yarn related news, Opal just came out with a huge line of Harry Potter theme sock yarn.

Vicki says;I'd love to try Wollmeise, but I just don't have the time to spend entire days online waiting for an update to pop up. Eventually the craze weill die down...at least that's what I tell myself.
Kim Yue says; That's horrible. We have plenty up here in Jersey, or at least I think we do....keeping fingers crossed for you guys down south--good luck!
katieh says;Yay! I'm glad the package arrived safely. :D
Jennifer says; This gas thing is *insane*. I live in N.C., and our Costco has been without gas for days. All because the people in Nashville had to go nuts last weekend... This is not a good sign, though.
Amanda says;I had the same problem this week. I finally found a place and filled up but haven't been careful about where I drive and I still zip around, gym... store...work... without much thought as to where the next 10 gallons are going to come from. Time to pull my bike out of storage and learn to ride to the grocery store...
